Underwriting Support Associate

Overview

The Underwriting Support Associate provides administrative and analytical support to Underwriters, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate documentation and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders and teams.

What you'll do

• Support the underwriting team with evidence requirements.
• Track the status of applications and policies to ensure timely processing.
• Act as a liaison between agents, clients, the policy servicing team and underwriters, providing updates and clarifications.
• Address sales queries in a timely manner within the agreed SLA.
• Generate, analyze and distribute regular MIS reports, including productivity, quality scores, pending cases, turnaround times and vendor reports, to management for performance tracking and decision-making.
• Assist in processing reinstatement requests by gathering required documentation and coordinating with underwriters and other teams to ensure seamless processing and communication.
• Assist with special projects and analysis as assigned by the Underwriting Support Manager.

What you'll need

• >1-2 years in Life Insurance Operations, within Underwriting Support or policy servicing/customer service in the insurance sector.
• Graduate in any stream.
• Proficiency in Insurance Core Systems (PAS).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools and MIS dashboards.
• Communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in high-pressure, high-volume environments.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.

Nice to have

• LOMA/III certifications are an advantage.
