WoW Software Engineer

Overview

Join as a Software Engineer at associate level, working within a feature team to engineer and maintain customer-centric, high-performance, secure and robust software solutions, scripts and tools.

What you'll do

• Engineer software, scripts and tools within a feature team.
• Liaise with other engineers, architects and business analysts across the platform.
• Produce complex and critical software rapidly and with high quality that adds value to the business.
• Work in permanent teams responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning.
• Collaborate to optimise software engineering capability.
• Design, produce, test and implement working software solutions.
• Work across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design through coding, testing, deployment and operations.

What you'll need

• A background in software engineering, software design and architecture.
• An understanding of how your area of expertise supports customers.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate and Micro Services.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Maven, Junit, Mockito, Oracle SQL, GitLab and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Java design patterns and OAuth 2.0 based security.

Nice to have

• Experience in Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and on AWS/Google Cloud Platform.
