Account Director, Startups

Overview

Account Director for Startups on OpenAI’s Go To Market team, owning relationships with strategically important startup customers and helping them build successfully on the OpenAI platform.

What you'll do

• Manage a portfolio of startup accounts and develop account plans.
• Partner with solutions and research engineering on complex customer programs and projects.
• Own a consumption revenue target and manage consumption revenue forecasts.
• Analyze account metrics and create reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor industry and startup landscapes to inform product roadmap and corporate strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple internal teams to help startups accelerate progress.
• Advocate for improvements to the startup experience by synthesizing product feedback.

What you'll need

• 6+ years selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service.
• Experience designing and executing complex deal strategies.
• Experience working in or around the startup ecosystem, preferably as a founder, startup employee, or with startup customers.
• Experience working directly with C-level executives.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience leading high-visibility customer events (e.g., conferences and product launches).
• Ability to gather and process complex market intelligence.
