Accounting & reporting Analyst- General Accounting

Overview

Accounting & Reporting Analyst in General Accounting, reporting to the Team Lead - Payroll Accounting, supporting record-to-report activities and accounts receivable and/or credit activities within the Finance Business Function.

What you'll do

• Contribute to the definition, implementation, and improvement of accounting policies relevant to your area and level of expertise.
• Execute established accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with ABB group policies and local instructions.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Perform month-end activities such as payroll accounting, provisions, accruals, salary cost accounting and recording of financial transactions.
• Produce reports, statements of account, reconciliations and statements of sourcing.
• Handle audit queries.
• Recommend changes to process standards and procedures to improve the timely performance of process activities.
• Identify areas for process and report standardization across different countries.
• Manage and analyze record-to-report data and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Support accounts receivable and/or credit activities in line with defined strategies, policies and procedures.

What you'll need

• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in payroll general accounting.
• Ability to demonstrate experience in accounting.
• Working knowledge of Cadency (Trintech), Workday, SAP and S/4HANA.
• Flexible to work in any shifts.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ready to accept new challenges.
