Accounts Executive - Thane - Fixed Term Employment - 6 months Internship

Overview

A six-month fixed-term internship as an Accounts Executive, responsible for timely branch collection updates, UPI payment follow-up, and reducing outstanding receivables through ageing analysis and reconciliation. Reports to the General Manager.

What you'll do

• Update branch collection files every 2 to 3 days for timely settlement and reporting.
• Coordinate with Pan-India customers and branches to collect payment advice for correct allocation and avoid mispostings.
• Track and follow up on UPI payments weekly through emails and calls to ensure month-end settlement.
• Extract ageing reports before month-end closing to check pending set-offs.
• Coordinate with branches to collect invoice details for payments kept on account in the customer ledger.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date receivable records across all customer accounts.
• Highlight discrepancies and follow up with relevant teams for resolution.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field.
• Working knowledge of customer ledgers, payment allocations, and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in MS-Excel and financial software.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience handling UPI and digital payments.
