Accounts Payable Analyst

Overview

Handle collection and payment functions for the SCAS contingency business, as well as General Ledger (GL) functions. Work closely with the Finance and SCAS business teams to ensure proper recording of activity in the system.

What you'll do

• Oversee lockbox activity in SCAS bank accounts for claims received from administrators.
• Prepare daily cash receipts reports related to the SCAS business.
• Reconcile checks received against the detail listing of checks expected and work with the business group to determine differences.
• Initiate the payment process in the AP system after notification from the business group.
• Create and process wires, checks and ACH setups after approval from the Finance team.
• Prepare daily, monthly and weekly reports showing status and activities for the period.
• Prepare fund transfers related to SCAS business revenue earned.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations as needed.
• Perform other general responsibilities and special projects as required.

What you'll need

• BS Accountancy degree.
• At least 2.5 to 5 years of professional work experience.
• Experience in Accounts Payable processing to disbursement.
• Experience in General Ledger, including bank reconciliation and balance sheet schedule preparation.
• Fluency in English.
• Exceptional MS Excel skills.
• Detail-oriented, analytical and hard-working approach.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Exposure to a wider scope of work, not only limited to Accounts Payable and General Ledger.
