AI Engineer

Overview

As an AI Engineer at Jeeves, you will own end-to-end AI-powered finance workflows that operate in production with real money and real customers. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on building, shipping, measuring and continuously improving workflows rather than individual features.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end workflows, such as everything between an invoice arriving and a payment going out.
• Build document extraction, matching, policy checks, approval routing and posting to the customer's ERP.
• Build evaluation and monitoring to determine whether workflows are working.
• Decide how to build, ship, measure and continuously improve workflows.
• Work closely with Product, Backend Engineering and customers' finance teams.

What you'll need

• Senior, hands-on experience as an AI Engineer.
• AI-native ways of working.
• Daily use of coding agents and AI tools to move faster.
• Ability to recognize where coding agents and AI tools fall short.
• Ability to work without waiting for someone to hand you a spec.
• Ability to own whole workflows from end to end, rather than individual features.
• Ability to work in a role that is not research-focused and does not involve a narrow, well-defined ticket queue.
