AI Solutions Engineering & Transformation Manager

Overview

Manager role driving AI solutions engineering and transformation at Morningstar’s India group. You will partner with business teams to frame AI use cases, design solutions, build MVPs, and enable responsible AI practices.

What you'll do

• Partner with functional leaders and AI Champions to identify workflow pain points and AI opportunity areas.
• Translate vague AI ideas into outcome-oriented use cases with clear scope and measurable value.
• Design AI solution architectures covering user flow, data flow, model/tool choice, integrations, controls, and monitoring.
• Build or co-build prototypes and MVPs, including prompt libraries, evaluation datasets, and testing scripts.
• Own selected AI initiatives from discovery through prototype, pilot, and implementation handoff.
• Coach teams on use-case framing, prompt design, responsible experimentation, and impact measurement.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or Statistics.
• 8–12 years of professional experience in AI solution engineering and transformation, digital transformation, solution architecture, consulting, or intelligent automation.
• At least 3 years working on AI/analytics/automation/data-driven or digital solution initiatives.
• Hands-on exposure to building or co-building AI solutions, prototypes, MVPs, automations, assistants, or analytics tools.
• Fluency in GenAI areas including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, agents, and model evaluation alongside AI risks knowledge.
• Architecture and delivery capabilities including data flow, integrations/APIs, cloud AI services, deployment considerations, and scope management.

• Hybrid work model: four days in-office each week as stated for most locations.
