Analyst, Business & Competitive Intelligence

Overview

Analyst, Business & Competitive Intelligence supports business growth by researching designated accounts and coordinating sales-based communications to generate new sales opportunities for Business Development.

What you'll do

• Liaise with the Business Development team to identify companies for continued nurtured outreach and meeting/RFP provision.
• Analyze the competitive environment and make recommendations.
• Develop an annual outreach plan reviewed monthly with LM and Business Development, covering new and repeat business targets.
• Research markets, competition, product mix, and specified product markets.
• Coordinate with Marketing teams to provide appropriate collateral for sales efforts.
• Update systems such as CRM and sales enablement platforms and generate accurate weekly/monthly activity reports.
• Provide regular feedback to LM and Business Development leadership on positioning related to pricing, competitiveness, and market conditions.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communication/science or business-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Understand the CRO and Specialty Labs market and Precision’s role in it.
• Have at least 6 months experience in the product/service sales lifecycle including client identification and prospecting.
• Have direct B2B sales experience in a service industry.
• Be willing to undertake domestic and international travel including overnight stays.
• Read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently.
• Be able to meet and exceed targets and quotas.

Nice to have

• Experience in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry or the life sciences industry.
