Overview
Analyst - Power BI Developer for AstraZeneca’s Chennai reporting and analytics team, engineering enterprise-grade Power BI solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead design, development, deployment, and support of secure, scalable Power BI solutions.
- Build and optimise star-schema semantic models, calculations, and DAX for enterprise analytics.
- Define and promote engineering standards, templates, and automation for reports and models.
- Ensure data quality and governance via reconciliation, row-level security, lineage tracking, and controlled dissemination.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business objectives into technical designs with trade-offs.
- Coach developers, lead design/code reviews, and support continuous improvement.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 4–6 years experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, or data management.
- At least 4 years hands-on Power BI solution delivery.
- Advanced proficiency with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including semantic models and row-level security.
- Expertise in DAX, Power Query, and dimensional modeling/star schemas with performance optimisation.
- Strong SQL skills integrating data from relational databases, cloud platforms, APIs, files, and enterprise applications.
