BI Analyst

Overview

BI Analyst to design, build, and support Power BI reporting for business teams. Work is heavily hands-on Power BI development using data on Google Cloud (BigQuery).

What you'll do

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets end to end.
• Write and tune SQL in BigQuery to prepare datasets for reporting.
• Design star-schema data models and reusable datasets for self-serve by business teams.
• Set up refresh schedules, gateways, workspaces, row-level security, and deployment pipelines.
• Build transformation pipelines in Dataform (or dbt-style SQL models) and schedule them.
• Investigate data issues, trace them to sources, and apply basic data quality checks.
• Support advanced analytics use cases (Gen AI / Vertex AI, including Power BI Copilot features) when useful.

What you'll need

• 3–7 years of hands-on BI/reporting experience, with most in Power BI.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, aggregations, and window functions.
• Practical experience with a cloud data warehouse.
• GCP BigQuery preferred; Snowflake/Databricks/Azure Synapse/Fabric/Redshift considered.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and at least one transformation/workflow tool (Dataform, dbt, or similar).
• Understanding of dimensional modeling for reporting.
• Degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, CS, IT, Statistics, Business Analytics, etc.).
