Analyst - Procurement

Overview

Analyst – Procurement role in Chennai supporting procurement and supply chain execution for assigned products.

What you'll do

• Issue POs to vendors, follow up for order confirmation and coordinate on-time payment to suppliers.
• Coordinate with vendors on actual delivery status of material.
• Complete the Open Purchase Order Report and Shortage Report on time for review.
• Execute core procurement processes efficiently and accurately for assigned products.
• Meet or exceed service levels and inventory targets for assigned products, validated through procurement metrics.
• Coordinate between internal business partners (requestors) and suppliers for purchase order changes.
• Select suppliers for new orders in accordance with approved purchasing strategies.
• Manage the supplier database.
• Identify, recommend and implement operational efficiencies for continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Perform root cause analysis to expedite resolution of service issues.
• Prepare customized reports to analyze and incorporate process improvements.
• Manage shortage/excess escalations, coordinate and follow through on urgent receipts, past dues, and receiving challenge resolution.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree or Engineering Graduate.
• 0–2 years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain.
• Mandatory knowledge of computer software applications, MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills (mandatory).
• Good analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in order processing, supply chain management, order management, or end-to-end procurement.
• Knowledge of ERP, preferably BAAN.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably electronics.
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook.
