API Developer, Reservoir Management & Forecasting

Overview

API Developer for Reservoir Management & Forecasting (RMF) business and engineering applications, responsible for backend services and RESTful APIs.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and support backend services and RESTful APIs in production.
• Develop internal APIs using C#, .NET, and Python with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
• Apply SOLID and API design principles for loosely coupled, maintainable solutions.
• Implement unit tests and follow modern engineering best practices.
• Build and operate applications on enterprise Microsoft Azure using services like Azure Functions and App Services.
• Use enterprise-approved GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) with human-in-the-loop review.

What you'll need

• Experience with Python frameworks/packages such as FastAPI, Pydantic, Pytest, Pandas, or Polars.
• Basic knowledge of statistics applied to engineering or analytical workflows.
• Familiarity with backend and enterprise application design patterns (repository, factory, strategy).
• Working knowledge of Angular and Blazor to support UI integration and troubleshooting (secondary skill).
• Experience with core software engineering concepts including object-oriented design and asynchronous processing.

• Location: Bengaluru, India.
• Standard work week: Monday to Friday.
• Working hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 10:30pm.
