Application Development Engineer - Electronics

Application Development Engineer for consumer electronics, covering application development, product introduction support, and customer-facing technical work.

What you'll do

• Develop and replicate high-impact consumer electronics applications with global teams.
• Identify the best solution by understanding customer needs, testing, and trial results.
• Communicate results to customers and global teams via written reports and presentations.
• Provide launch support by creating documentation, demonstration tools, videos, and training materials.
• Support competitive intelligence, complaint handling, and develop “Voice of Customer” inputs.
• Support specification of products at OEMs and tiers on engineering drawings and help transition to manufacturing.
• Deliver training to 3M teams, distributors, and customers; plan training calendars and modules.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in R&D, preferably applications engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role in the electronics industry.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering with Electronics/Materials science/Chemistry/Physics as major subject.
• Experience with tapes, adhesives, conductive materials, TIM, and knowledge of die-cutting/slitting is advantageous.
• Good understanding of IP protocols and procedures.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience creating collateral materials such as digital content and demonstration tools.
