Application Engineer II

Overview

Application Engineer II (Technical Chillers expert) focused on solution development and end-to-end pre-sales lifecycle support for chiller solutions on enterprise accounts.

What you'll do

• Drive the overall Application Engineering process and ensure customers receive the best solution as per requirements.
• Act as the primary technical support and pre-sales engineering contact for chillers, working with lead Account Managers and enterprise clients from pre-tendering through project handover.
• Offer optimized, techno-commercial solutions using available products, working closely with chiller factories and the Global Products Team on special quotes and complex technical compliance.
• Conduct sweet spot analysis so specifications are included early in BOD projects.
• Work with the BOD/Sales team to understand project needs and provide technical chiller solutions and specifications.
• Support the Regional Sales Team on chiller pre-sales engineering for local projects across the APAC region.
• Guide and coach team members through knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Life Cycle Solutions, Sales, Global Products and Factory teams to identify product and solution gaps and recommend new features.

What you'll need

• BE/ME Mechanical or equivalent.
• High level of knowledge of Chillers: Screw, Scroll and Centrifugal.
• Solid understanding of the principles of large refrigeration systems and associated equipment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in chiller product selection, preparing selections, specifications review and quotations.
• Ability to work successfully in a multifunctional team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Quick learner with a keen eye for problem solving.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to demonstrate good leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Preference given to individuals with technical expertise in chillers.
• People management experience.
