Application Engineer III

Overview

Application Engineer III supporting pre-sales engineering for Fire Detection System global projects following country-specific standards.

What you'll do

• Support pre-sales engineering for Fire Detection System projects per country-specific standards.
• Review inputs and specifications to capture scope and complete project requirements.
• Review MEP drawings and identify Fire Detection System-related equipment.
• Prepare bill of materials, costing sheets, and estimation documents to support bids.
• Conduct project kick-off/review meeting participation and document queries, compliance/deviations, and risk logs.
• Ensure quality assurance, defect-free deliverables, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide weekly/monthly customer reporting on project progress.

What you'll need

• BE degree in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Communication.
• Strong knowledge of Fire Detection System components (e.g., Fire Alarm, VESDA, Linear Heat Detection, Fireman Intercom, Gas Detection, Detection part of Gas Suppression System).
• Knowledge of fire alarm product families including Simplex & Zettler and aspirating smoke detection products including Xtralis, Securiton & Wagner.
• Expertise in Fire Alarm codes and guidelines.
• Familiarity with local code requirements for Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.), and Blue Beam.
• Knowledge of network protocols such as BACNet and Modbus; experience coordinating with subcontractors/vendors and procurement.
