Application Engineer- Presales Chiller

Overview

Provide technical product application support to sales teams pursuing air-cooled chiller equipment sales opportunities in the India market. The role supports application and quotation needs, expert technical solutions, and product and product-application development.

What you'll do

• Respond to field sales inquiries related to chiller and heat pump application, technical, and manufacturing capabilities in connection with product specifications.
• Guide field sales toward solutions necessary to meet customer requirements.
• Support projects involving several products and optimize the final scope of supply.
• Review special option requirements and support Special Quote needs with cost and lead-time estimates.
• Develop subcomponent specifications, engage and negotiate with suppliers, and analyze factory manufacturing capability.
• Support field sales on technical clarifications with customers, including direct customer engagement when required.
• Guide field sales and key customers on system design approaches and specify tailored equipment packages.
• Balance chiller performance with subsystem components and features.
• Align field support with knowledge of chiller products available in the market and regional product strategy.
• Define specifications for chillers and subsystems in support of project opportunities.
• Monitor and analyze frequent questions, requests, and pitfalls to identify new applications and develop new special quotation offerings.
• Guide global product teams on new applications and special quotation offerings.
• Provide material for literature applications, product presentations, and training materials.
• Collect and provide constructive feedback to global product teams on resources, tools, and documentation available to field sales and customers.
• Deliver training presentations on product changes and new products to field sales and key customers.
• Engage in industry organizations and technical seminars.
• Monitor and provide formal comments on product- and application-relevant codes and standards.

What you'll need

• BE/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical.
• Minimum 3 years of HVAC or refrigeration-related experience in application engineering, product engineering, or technical marketing.
• Strong knowledge of application and field practices related to air-cooled chillers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.

• Demonstrated business management skills in a product application environment.
