Application Support Engineer

Overview

Act as a software detective, providing a dynamic service that identifies and solves issues within multiple components of critical business systems.

What you'll do

• Perform independently and become a subject matter expert (SME).
• Actively participate in and contribute to team discussions.
• Contribute solutions to work-related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business applications.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
• Assist in the implementation of system updates and patches to enhance application stability.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact business operations.

What you'll need

• Minimum 2 years of experience in SUSE Linux Administration.
• Proficiency in SUSE Linux Administration.
• 15 years of full-time education.
• Experience with shell scripting and automation to streamline routine tasks.
• Strong understanding of system monitoring tools and log analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with network protocols and security best practices within Linux environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance and application availability.
