Application Support Engineer

Overview

Support wireless technology operations as the interface between clients and business systems. Diagnose application and network issues, coordinate resolutions, and help maintain reliable system operations.

What you'll do

• Manage and prioritize support tickets for timely resolution.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Implement preventive measures for recurring problems.
• Develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation.
• Collaborate with clients and multiple teams on technical issues and decisions.
• Provide solutions across immediate and cross-functional teams.
• Work in 24x7 rotational shifts, including weekends.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Wireless Technologies Operations.
• 15 years of full-time education.
• Basic networking skills in routing and switching.
• At least two listed wireless technologies, including Cisco Wireless, Aruba Wireless, Meraki Wireless, Juniper MIST Wireless, Cisco Catalyst Center, DNA-C, Cisco ISE, or Aruba Central.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and wireless standards, including SSID, 802.1x, and 802.11.
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and manage a team.

Nice to have

• At least two listed tools or technologies, including Aruba ClearPass, Forescout NAC, Extreme Wireless, Fortinet Wireless, Ubiquiti, Arista Wireless, Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git, REST APIs, or CI/CD.
• Knowledge of at least one of cloud networking, automation, SDWAN, firewalls, or RADIUS.
• Experience designing and deploying wireless networks.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance optimization.
