Application Support Engineer

Overview

Act as a software detective in an Application Support Engineer role, identifying and resolving issues across components of critical business systems. The role is an SME and team-lead position responsible for team decisions and cross-team solutions.

What you'll do

• Act as an SME, collaborate with and manage the team to perform.
• Take responsibility for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
• Lead efforts to streamline incident management processes and improve response times.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align support activities with business objectives.

What you'll need

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• 15 years full time education.
• Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and service management within AWS environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues effectively.
• Experience in monitoring tools and incident management platforms to ensure system health.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting to optimize support workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps.
