Application Support Engineer

Overview

Application Support Engineer providing application support, maintenance, and continuous improvement across a software portfolio.

What you'll do

• Act as an escalation point within established ITSM processes and SLA commitments.
• Resolve complex incidents, requests, and service issues and maintain application reliability.
• Collaborate with product, stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams to manage backlogs and roadmaps.
• Deliver functional and technical enhancements and support project implementations/transitions to BAU.
• Perform incident, trend, and backlog analysis and produce MI and reporting packs.
• Troubleshoot application, database, and infrastructure issues and maintain communication with stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Experience supporting enterprise applications in structured IT environments.
• Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks such as ITIL or COBIT.
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills for troubleshooting, optimization, and process enhancement.
• Experience supporting SSRS (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with application support and application development concepts.
• Experience with Power BI and/or Crystal Reports and source control tools (Git, Azure DevOps, or SVN).
• PowerShell scripting experience.
