Application Support Engineer

Overview

Serve as an Application Support Engineer by monitoring, diagnosing and resolving issues across multiple components of critical business systems, with a focus on SAP Basis Administration.

What you'll do

• Act as an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Make team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline issue resolution and improve system reliability.
• Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical capabilities and support skills.
• Continuously evaluate and improve support processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Proactively monitor and diagnose issues across critical business system components.
• Identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain system stability and performance.

What you'll need

• Minimum 7.5 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration.
• 15 years full time education.
• Proficiency in SAP Basis Administration.
• Experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting within SAP environments.
• Strong knowledge of database management and operating system fundamentals related to SAP systems.
• Ability to manage system upgrades, patches, and transport management effectively.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
