Overview

Apprentice graduate opportunity in finance roles at State Street, focused on developing graduates technically and professionally toward future leadership and finance expertise.

What you'll do

• Process daily accounting functions to calculate fund net asset values and deliver accurate fund prices.
• Prepare financial statements for annual and interim cycles and draft audited annual/un-audited interim statements.
• Support futures and options processing for European exchange traded derivatives and related activities.
• Perform accounting operations such as document/journal processing, payments preparation, and account reconciliations.
• Process trade files, confirm trades, and monitor trade fails for prime brokers and custodians.
• Price securities for investment funds and validate pricing using sources such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and FTID.
• Monitor compliance results on client portfolios and complete research analysis and reporting for investment restrictions compliance.

What you'll need

• Academic aptitude and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Basic experience with MS Office.
• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is preferred.
• Desire to develop a career in the finance industry.
• Involvement with student organizations is an added advantage.
• Demonstrate individual ownership of tasks with accountability and adhere to the Code of Conduct.
