Area Sales Manager - Kolkata

Overview

Area Sales Manager (Microsurgery) for the Kolkata territory, driving direct sales and market growth for medical division products across government and private institutions.

What you'll do

• Drive sales performance by achieving sales targets and growing the medical product portfolio (Neuro, ENT, Plastic and Reconstruction, Spine, Ophthalmology).
• Increase business and profitability through direct sales, market penetration, and profit margin growth across assigned accounts.
• Develop and execute market attack plans and promotions using the 4P’s (Product, Price, Promotion, Place).
• Manage product sales activities including new product launches, competitive data gathering, VOC, and sales tool creation.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, clinicians, and stakeholders to drive KOL engagement.
• Ensure compliance and effective decision-making during negotiations and critical discussions.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience selling medical devices, preferably surgical operating microscopes.
• Degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, MBA, or equivalent.
• Strong communication, business acumen, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Experience with channel partner management.
• Ability to demonstrate microscopy equipment and conduct product presentations, including operating theater demonstrations.
• Proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM) and willingness for extensive field travel within the assigned territory.
• Proficiency in MS Office, with working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
