Area Sales Manager - Manager - EDC Retail

Overview

Lead and grow the EDC (swipe machine) retail sales business for Paytm Payments Services, driving merchant acquisition, account management and team building in the Chennai area.

What you'll do

• Develop plans and strategies to grow business and achieve the company's sales goals.
• Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
• Hire and build a new team to support growing needs and future projects.
• Define the optimal sales force structure.
• Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support sales objectives.
• Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements.
• Visit merchants, educate them on the benefits of the swipe machine (EDC), convert them and manage their accounts.
• Aggressively manage the successful execution of the sales strategy.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field, or above.
• Strong understanding of the local language.
• Exceptional communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
