Asociate Software Engineer

Overview

Sr. Technology Business Management (TBM) Administrator supporting the Tech Strategy & Enablement area, building and maintaining Apptio Cost Transparency models and supporting capitalization processes for financial transparency, cost optimization and value realization.

What you'll do

• Configure and maintain Apptio Cost Transparency (ApptioOne) for day-to-day operational support, including production oversight, root cause analysis, and analysis and communication of vendor releases.
• Deliver prioritized Apptio reporting data sources and UI enhancements and capabilities, working closely with the persistent team and business community.
• Assist the broader team with design, implementation, and rollout for Infrastructure, Services and Business Units across the CIO organization, leveraging cost and outlook data consumed by Apptio.
• Act as the Apptio TBM subject matter expert, owning model design, configuration, allocations, and reporting.
• Configure and maintain Apptio modules (ApptioOne - Cost Transparency, Capitalization etc.).
• Develop and update cost models, dashboards, and reporting tools in compliance with TBM taxonomy, internal financial policies and organizational standards.
• Manage data ingestion from GL, CMDB, asset management, cloud platforms, vendor feeds, and insurance-specific systems.
• Perform variance analysis and trend analysis for technology spend.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in any of the disciplines - finance, accounting, economics, business, engineering or a similar discipline with analytical bias.
• Apptio TBM Certification (Apptio Certified Practitioner for ApptioOne).
• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Apptio TBM / Cost Transparency with proficiency in data modeling, integration, and reporting.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of IT financial management, including CapEx/OpEx, depreciation, and allocations.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) supporting insurance workloads.
• Familiarity with tools such as Rally, Clarity, and TM1.
• Experience with agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
• Strong proficiency with Excel and complex financial modeling (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups).
