Specialist, Data Analyst

Overview

The Specialist, Data Analyst is responsible for understanding data, performing descriptive analysis, and delivering analyses and reports that support business goals across project phases including source data ingest, data modeling and preparation, and data wrangling directly in reporting tools.

What you'll do

• Mine and analyze data from disparate databases and sources to drive optimization and improvement.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and apps.
• Explore and wrangle data to define data processing rules that support insight needs.
• Build analyses and reports based on customer and stakeholder business needs and priorities.
• Use AI for data analysis, model creation, and Power BI.
• Understand dependencies between multiple teams and platforms, including people and technologies.
• Communicate with other platforms and competencies to understand new trends and methodologies being implemented or considered within the company ecosystem.
• Establish and manage close relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure analyses are delivered with high-quality standards, timeliness, compliance, and excellent user experience.
• Contribute to innovative experiments through idea generation, idea incubation, and experimentation, identifying tangible and measurable criteria.
• Conduct profiling, standardization, and harmonization to collect business rules.
• Query data to identify patterns and anomalies.
• Support testing efforts.
• Manage business testing and validation of insights.

What you'll need

• Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any Technology stream.
• 3+ years of developing data pipelines, data analysis, data modelling, and Power BI data infrastructure.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering large-scale information management technology solutions encompassing data integration and self-service analytics enablement.
• Working knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
• Experience in software and data engineering practices, including versioning, release management, deployment of datasets, agile, and related software tools.
• Working knowledge of at least one large-scale data processing technology, such as high-performance computing or distributed computing.
• Working knowledge of databases and underlying technology, including cloud or on-prem environments, containerization, and distributed storage and databases.
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
• Proven record of delivering high-quality results.
• Product and customer-centric approach.
• Innovative thinking and an experimental mindset.

• Knowledge in Cloud.
• Data access in cloud and some basic knowledge.
