Asset Accounting Analyst

Overview

Asset Accounting Analyst role in the Finance team, focused on recording and reporting financial transactions across the asset lifecycle, including fixed assets and reconciliations.

What you'll do

• Coordinate prompt and accurate recording of financial transactions such as ledger entries and journal postings and fixed asset postings.
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned asset accounting and reporting and performance reporting processes.
• Monitor open and overdue items and follow up with the appropriate team.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements in reconciliation activities.
• Liaise with stakeholders and colleagues in different geographical locations and time zones to resolve or escalate complex issues.
• Participate in internal/external audit when required.

• Familiarity with systems used to record accounts to ensure accounting requirements are met.
• High level of familiarity with accounting practices relevant to Asset Accounting.
• Skills in accounting processes and financial systems.
• Analytical thinking and data analysis.
• Communication skills for complex, critical, and ad-hoc queries.
• Internal control and compliance knowledge.
• Agility core practices/tools.
