Assistant engineer - Machining

Overview

Assistant Engineer - Machining responsible for machining processes on VMC (Fanuc control) and independent programming, machining, and execution of parts.

What you'll do

• Plan, execute, and monitor machining operations, including CNC programming.
• Select tools and support fixture design for machining operations.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain machining equipment including CNC machinery.
• Troubleshoot machining issues with production teams and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain records of machining parameters, production data, and QC results.
• Contribute to work instructions, SOPs, and safety protocols for machining.

What you'll need

• Min 4+ years of experience in CNC programming.
• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machining processes.
• Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-code, M-code).
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM software.
• Familiarity with machining techniques and associated tooling (e.g., turning, milling, drilling, grinding).
• Knowledge of metrology and experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM).
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
