Associate – BI Engineer with AI, Advisory

Overview

Associate role in PwC's Data, Analytics & AI specialism, building BI and automation solutions and exploring how AI tools can be applied in an enterprise setting.

What you'll need

• 7–10 years of strong hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, data modeling, report/dashboard design)
• Experience in data warehousing and data modeling (dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization, schema design)
• Practical experience building solutions with Power Apps
• Experience automating workflows with Power Automate
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and SQL
• Good working exposure to Claude or similar LLM-based AI assistants, including understanding of their capabilities, limitations, and practical applications
• Working knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar frameworks for connecting AI models to external tools/data
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools in a professional capacity (not just casual use), e.g. building AI-assisted workflows, prompting for enterprise tasks, integrating AI into existing tools
• A genuine curiosity for exploring how AI can be applied, both for personal productivity and at enterprise scale
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity, as AI tooling and best practices are still evolving
• Strong stakeholder communication, able to translate technical AI/data concepts to non-technical audiences
• Self-driven learner who proactively explores new tools and shares knowledge with the team
• Comfortable balancing "keep the lights on" BI work with forward-looking AI experimentation
• Bachelor of Technology degree

Nice to have

• Experience with other AI platforms (OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, etc.)
• Familiarity with governance/security considerations for enterprise AI adoption
• Prior experience running internal AI enablement or upskilling initiatives

• Leverage data to drive insights and support informed business decisions for clients
• Utilise advanced analytical techniques to extract insights from large datasets
• Apply data manipulation, visualisation, and statistical modelling to solve complex business problems
