Associate Director – Data and AI Architecture & Platforms

Overview

Associate Director responsible for architecting and engineering the next-generation enterprise Data, Analytics, and AI platform ecosystem for RTX’s Enterprise Services Data and AI organization.

What you'll do

• Design and implement data, ML, and agentic architectures across multiple business domains.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities and scalability.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data and agentic systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to deliver operational value.
• Maintain and improve the platform operational model, including monitoring, logging, alerting, incident management, and disaster recovery.
• Align platform capabilities and controls with Legal, Cyber, and Governance requirements alongside enterprise architecture and governance teams.

What you'll need

• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience (or minimum 10 years with an advanced degree in a related field).
• 10+ years experience in architecture, systems engineering, software, or related fields, including data and automation architecture, AI/ML platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with knowledge/property graphs, ontologies, semantic layers, and large-scale data integration technologies.
• Experience with deployment processes including IaC, GitOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps frameworks.
• Experience integrating data governance tools, ontologies, semantic layers, and AI context management.
• Cloud infrastructure deployment experience (Azure/AWS) and Python for automation and operational management.
