Associate Energy Market Analyst ​(Support)

Overview

Associate Energy Market Analyst (Support) in the Support Division, providing technical support and education for Energy Exemplar’s energy market simulation software.

What you'll do

• Learn the software to an advanced level.
• Provide technical support to customers and manage support cases end-to-end.
• Resolve issues across SaaS/Cloud offerings and the desktop version.
• Collaborate with Cloud and Engine/GUI developers to ensure fixes and documented requests.
• Deliver onsite and web-based trainings and keep training materials updated.
• Maintain power market knowledge and communicate trends and customer requirements to the development team.
• Assist with retention calls/visits and support preparation for energy tradeshows and conferences, traveling to client sites as required.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (mandate).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and learn new techniques.
• Ability to articulate the business problem, identify critical elements, provide timely solutions, and synthesize answers for decision makers.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, presentation, and technical writing.
• Working knowledge of power systems and electricity/power markets.
• Experience troubleshooting SaaS/Cloud offerings and knowledge of fundamental energy market analysis.
• Experience with VBA, Python, and SQL, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience with power market production cost and expansion planning models.
• A degree or certificate specializing in Power Markets.
