Associate Engineer

Overview

Associate Engineer responsible for designing and developing PCB artwork to meet customer technical, cost, and market needs, often leading small projects.

What you'll do

• Design and develop PCB artwork aligned to customer requirements.
• Prepare layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics using ECAD/CAE tools.
• Plan, execute, and close assigned activities.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, product teams, and PCB fab vendors to resolve DFM/DFT/DFA issues.
• Organize and lead smaller projects.
• Ensure PCB design and review processes are followed.
• Identify opportunities to improve PCB design process and cycle time.

What you'll need

• 2-3 years total relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/ECE or Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Altium (must).
• Knowledge of surface mount and through-hole electrical/electronic components.
• Ability to create footprints and apply IPC standards (IPC2221A, IPC-SM-782, IPC 7351).
• Experience preparing schematics and performing PCB layout design plus PCB library management.

Nice to have

• Awareness of CIS/CIP databases, thermal management, and enclosure designs.
• Exposure to hardware testing and PCB guidelines for EMI/EMC.
• Some experience with high-speed boards, signal integrity/power integrity analysis using Ansys or equivalent.
• Automotive domain knowledge for high power layout designs.
