Associate Engineer - Product Stewardship

Overview

Associate Engineer - Product Stewardship to support new product introduction and compliance with climate and environmental regulations for Eaton’s ARS Electrical business.

What you'll do

• Execute product compliance assessments across global regulations including RoHS, REACH, ODS, POP, CP-65, and TSCA.
• Support end-to-end compliance management and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Collect, validate, and maintain material declarations through supplier campaigns and portfolio analysis.
• Perform substance screening and threshold analysis.
• Maintain compliance records in internal PLM/compliance tools and follow defined workflows to meet timelines.
• Support preparation of customer compliance declarations and regulatory responses.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Chemical/Mechanical/Electronics/Electricals engineering.
• 0–3 years’ experience in sustainability domain or product/technology development for industrial, electrical/electronic, or chemical products/processes.
• Strong understanding of engineering science and arithmetic concepts (material, weight, volume, density, mass, units, measurements).
• Knowledge of sustainability regulations including WEEE, EPR, REACH, RoHS, CP65, TSCA, POP, and ODS.
• Comfort with data and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Good verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts.
