Associate Engineer Test lab - EMI/EMC

Overview

Associate Engineer for the EMI/EMC laboratory within Eaton’s Enterprise CoE in Pune, India.

What you'll do

• Validate products by performing EMI/EMC tests per applicable IEC/CISPR/FCC/MIL/RTCA-DO standards.
• Prepare test setups from test plans and standards, run tests, monitor results, and generate test reports.
• Read and analyze EMI/EMC test plans and test setup drawings.
• Perform EMI/EMC test types including radiated/cnducted emission and immunity, ESD, surge, EFT, and related tests.
• Analyze and troubleshoot test results using engineering calculations and analysis tools.
• Maintain lab equipment, manage and track test requests, and maintain 5S and safety requirements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics or Power Electronics Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in the EMI/EMC testing domain.
• Sound knowledge of EMC standards including IEC, CISPR, FCC, MIL, DO160, ISO, and RTCA-DO.
• Hands-on experience performing EMI/EMC tests (e.g., radiated emission/immunity, conducted emission/immunity, ESD, surge, BCI, EFT, VDI).
• Maintenance experience with EMC equipment such as EMI receivers, antennas, filters, pre-amplifiers, signal generators, LISN, and RF amplifiers.
• Experience maintaining components of semi/full anechoic chambers (e.g., turntable, antenna mast, chamber door).

• Hands-on experience with chamber software such as TDK Emissions Lab, R&S EMC 32, and ETS-Lindgren TILE.
