Associate – IAM Engineer, Strategy & Governance, Advisory

Overview

Associate IAM Engineer for Identity & Access Management strategy, governance, and advisory. You will lead IAM operations across MUFG, ensuring reliable, secure identity services and coordinating delivery with multiple teams.

What you'll do

• Own and run end-to-end IAM operations for workforce and non-human identities.
• Lead IAM service delivery, automation, and self-service capabilities.
• Manage day-to-day IAM operations across the identity lifecycle and access workflows (joiner-mover-leaver, access requests, access fulfillment).
• Run ITSM-aligned operations including incident, problem, change, request, and knowledge management with escalation paths and on-call readiness.
• Oversee operational stability and administration for IAM platforms and dependencies (e.g., SSO/MFA, directories, IGA, HR source-of-truth, APIs/connectors).
• Lead audit and compliance execution for access controls, including evidence collection and remediation tracking.
• Ensure monitoring, alerting, and telemetry for IAM services and integrations, partnering with SecOps when needed.

What you'll need

• 8–12 years of experience in IAM, security operations, or identity platform operations.
• 5+ years leading teams and service delivery.
• Proven experience operating IAM services at enterprise scale.
• Strong ITSM and operational management experience (incident/problem/change/request, SLAs/SLOs, metrics, service health reporting).
• Experience delivering automation and self-service using workflows, APIs, and orchestration.
• Experience supporting audits and compliance related to access controls, including evidence production and remediation.
• Ability to manage third-party SI partners/managed services with measurable outcomes.
