Associate Managed Services Information Security Analyst

Overview

Monitor, analyze, interpret and report client security data in an entry-level managed services information security role. Support incident response, threat hunting, security tool tuning and client interactions under experienced analyst guidance.

What you'll do

• Monitor incoming client security data across a 24/7 rotational Cyber Defense Centre.
• Detect, analyze and respond to security incidents.
• Tune MSSP platforms and client SIEMs with stakeholders and internal teams.
• Perform threat hunting, attack analysis, malware analysis and network or computer forensics.
• Prepare security event reports and explain generated information to clients.
• Maintain security content, knowledge articles, run books and process documentation.
• Monitor service delivery against service level agreements and maintain records.

What you'll need

• Entry-level experience in SOC analysis operations.
• Entry-level experience using SIEM for investigations.
• Knowledge of SIEMs or security tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of security architecture and multiple security technologies.
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IPS, IDS or proxies.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computing or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and customer service skills.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as AZ-500, SC-200, Security+, CEH, CISSP or CISM.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, ACCA, PCNSA or CCSA.
