Overview
As an Associate Solution Engineer, you will deliver technical expertise and build relationships with prospects and customers exploring the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. The role combines technical problem-solving, collaboration, and customer focus across customer engagements, including technical evaluations and future-state architectures.
What you'll do
- Present Snowflake's technology, vision, and roadmap to technical contributors and business executives, and connect technical solutions to business outcomes.
- Work hands-on with prospects and customers across the sales cycle, from tailored demos and proofs of concept to solution design and implementation.
- Show the business value of Snowflake at every stage.
- Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and develop technical champions who help advance deals and support long-term success.
- Keep deep, current knowledge of Snowflake's platform, industry trends, and competing or complementary technologies.
- Position Snowflake against competing or complementary technologies.
- Use hands-on labs, demos, and Snowflake's learning resources to keep your skills sharp.
- Work closely with Account Executives, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to support customer success.
- Share field feedback that improves Snowflake's products and messaging.
- Work with technology and implementation partners on joint architectures, account strategies, and initiatives that help customers succeed.
- Serve as a Snowflake ambassador at industry and customer events.
- Learn from fellow Sales Engineers and from wins and losses, take advantage of mentorship and on-the-job learning, and help each other get better.
What you'll need
- Some experience in a technical role, such as solution engineering, solutions architecture, or software development.
- A passion for solving problems and eagerness to grow your technical and business skills.
- Basic familiarity with SQL and/or Python, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both written and verbal.
- A desire to understand customer challenges and deliver meaningful solutions.
- A collaborative approach to working with peers, partners, and customers.
Nice to have
- Experience in SaaS, data analytics, or cloud technology.
- Experience working with modern data technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric, BigQuery etc, including CI/CD tooling, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, and Git.
- Understanding of public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, and their services.
- Familiarity with data science, machine learning workflows, or governance tools.
