Solutions Engineer (US)

Overview

Support customers as a technical guide through evaluations, solution design, migration assessments, and deal execution for Qdrant’s vector search platform.

What you'll do

• Translate architectural requirements into pricing models and contract terms.
• Coordinate with Support, Product, and Engineering to unblock proofs of concept.
• Track technical sales workflows in Jira and Salesforce.
• Identify deployment risks such as latency bottlenecks and resource contention.
• Support architectural reviews and migration assessments from Elastic, Solr, and OpenSearch.
• Help design highly available search clusters aligned with customer SLAs and throughput needs.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for client stakeholders during evaluations.

What you'll need

• 2–4 years of technical, customer-facing experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.
• Background in data science, computer engineering, or DevOps.
• Scripting ability in Python or Bash.
• Ability to calculate TCO and estimate RAM, CPU, and disk requirements for distributed systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong communication skills with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with vector databases or search technologies.
• Exposure to enterprise procurement, infosec questionnaires, or MSA redlines.
