Assurance Sr Associate 1 - PE Funds

Overview

Assurance Senior Associate 1 for PE funds, responsible for conducting audits and related assurance work in line with the firm’s audit approach and quality standards.

What you'll do

• Understand client needs, expectations, business/industry context, and relevant financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and audit standards (GAAS).
• Apply the RSM audit approach, methodology, and tools while executing the overall audit plan.
• Perform audit procedures and tests and ensure proper documentation of work performed.
• Identify risks and accounting/auditing issues, researching technical accounting topics and discussing issues with engagement teams.
• Prepare audit reports and management letters.
• Exercise professional skepticism and judgment while adhering to the code of ethics during engagements.
• Supervise and develop associates and collaborate effectively with audit professionals.

What you'll need

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in an accounting and audit related field.
• Bachelors in Commerce / MBA.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant / ACCA / CPA.
• Strong technical skills in accounting including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS.
• Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Private Equity industry.
• Advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, basic formulas), plus Word and PowerPoint.
