Overview
Automation Test Engineer to design and implement automated testing across functional and technical requirements in an agile team.
What you'll do
- Implement testing requirements including functional, technical, and automation testing.
- Use automated testing frameworks such as Java, JUnit, Selenium, and TestNG.
- Analyze application components, debug errors, and interpret log output.
- Write SQL scripts to connect to database and verify tables and data accuracy.
- Define testing approach, tools, test plans, test cases, test suites, and test data.
- Review design documents and business requirements (stories) with acceptance criteria to build test scenarios.
- Share and report risks, issues, challenges, blockers, and upcoming tasks with the Scrum Master or Quality Manager; ensure defects are detected and reported for prioritization.
What you'll need
- Expertise in Java and Selenium.
- Strong coding knowledge in Java.
- Design and create low-maintenance automation suites using TestNG and Selenium with Java.
- Experience with TDD/BDD frameworks.
- Test management tools such as JIRA/Zephyr/Capture/Confluence.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Experience with Cucumber.
Nice to have
- API testing using Postman.
- Cloud-based testing tools such as Selenium Grid, Sauce Labs, or BrowserStack.
- Design and develop performance test plans for scalability, benchmarking, and performance.
- Run tests to validate load, scalability, stability, and reliability standards.
