Test Analyst

Overview

Test Analyst role at Barclays, supporting successful delivery of Location Strategy projects and helping evolve digital testing capabilities.

What you'll do

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for project releases.
• Perform defect analysis, debugging, and root cause identification.
• Integrate and run automation within CI/CD pipelines aligned to releases.
• Contribute to test strategy, planning, estimation, and execution.
• Manage testing using test management tools and report testing metrics.
• Work with developers, product owners, and QA teams for high-quality releases.
• Continuously improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and framework scalability.

What you'll need

• Strong knowledge of test creation and execution, including defect management using Jira.
• Experience with Core Java and automation development.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks/tools including Selenium, Rest Assured, TestNG, and Maven.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI and using Git version control.
• Understanding of RESTful API concepts and JSON/XML data formats.
• Experience with API testing, database testing, and end-to-end test validation.
• Hands-on experience with Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and defect management processes.
