Azure Databricks - Manager

Overview

As an Azure Databricks Manager, you lead data engineering efforts within PwC’s Data and Analytics Engineering group, driving data modernization and actionable insights for clients.

What you'll do

• Lead design and implementation of data engineering solutions using Azure Databricks and other cloud platforms.
• Manage data integration and transformation to support client data modernization.
• Oversee data pipelines and data architecture to improve quality and accessibility.
• Guide strategic planning and execution of data-driven projects and confirm alignment with client objectives.
• Use Apache Hadoop, Apache Airflow, and Azure Data Factory to streamline data workflows.
• Validate data security and compliance within data engineering frameworks.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and collaborate with stakeholders on data strategy improvements.

What you'll need

• At least a Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 8+ years of experience.
• Oral and written proficiency in English required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Databricks and the Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.

Nice to have

• Preference for at least one field of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematical Statistics.
• Use advanced skills in data architecture development and data modeling.
• Experience with Apache Hadoop and Apache Airflow for data engineering.
• Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
