BI Developer

Overview

Develop and maintain business intelligence, analytics and data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across AIG Finance and Commercial Analytics.

What you'll do

• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports supporting Finance and Commercial Analytics initiatives.
• Develop semantic models, datasets and reusable reporting assets to improve consistency and scalability.
• Create intuitive visualizations that communicate business performance, trends, risks and opportunities.
• Optimize report performance and usability through data modeling, DAX development and dashboard design best practices.
• Support user acceptance testing, deployment, enhancement requests and ongoing production support.
• Develop and maintain SQL-based data pipelines, transformations and reporting tables.
• Support data integration activities across multiple enterprise systems and data sources.
• Design and maintain scalable datasets that support analytical and reporting requirements.
• Assist with data quality monitoring, validation and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data structures, transformations and reporting logic.
• Partner with IT and analytics teams to improve data reliability, refresh performance and automation.
• Support forecasting, revenue analysis, pricing analytics and commercial performance reporting.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop automated reporting processes that reduce manual effort and improve decision-making speed.
• Support scenario analysis, trend identification and business performance monitoring.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics techniques to improve efficiency and insight generation.
• Partner with Finance, Commercial, Operations and Analytics stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.
• Participate in project planning, requirements gathering and solution design discussions.
• Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to business users and fellow team members.
• Collaborate with project managers and analytics leaders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Apply PPI and continuous improvement principles to reporting, analytics and data management processes.
• Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, automate recurring activities and improve data accessibility.
• Support ongoing modernization of analytics platforms, reporting capabilities and data architecture.
• Contribute to the adoption of AI and digital tools that improve productivity and business outcomes.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Statistics or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting or data engineering.
• Strong Power BI experience including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, dashboard development and report optimization.
• Experience developing and maintaining semantic models and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Strong SQL skills with experience developing queries, stored procedures and reporting datasets.
• Experience working with relational databases and data warehouse environments.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting forecasting, business performance analysis or operational reporting.
• Ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities within large datasets.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a global team environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Finance, Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Revenue Management or related business functions.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Spark or modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Experience with Power Automate and reporting process automation.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning or generative AI technologies.
• Microsoft Power BI certification.
• Experience supporting Finance or Commercial Analytics organizations.
• Experience working in Agile project environments.
• Exposure to revenue forecasting, pricing analytics, CRM data or commercial reporting platforms.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve development efficiency and analytical outcomes.
