Business Analytics Lead Analyst - HIH - Evernorth

Overview

Business Analytics Lead Analyst (Band 3 Senior Contributor) on the Client Analytics team, creating dashboards, reports and data pulls that give operations partners actionable insights.

What you'll do

• Use SQL to write queries that answer questions and perform ETL tasks to create datasets.
• Work with business and technical leadership to understand requirements.
• Design to the requirements and document the designs.
• Do data modeling as needed for the requirements.
• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance.
• Develop and optimize data processing workflows using Databricks, ensuring efficient execution and resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot issues, provide effective solutions, and monitor jobs in the production environment.
• Participate in sprint planning, refinement/story-grooming, daily scrums, demos and retrospectives.
• Refactor reporting to enhance performance, provide deeper insight, and answer questions.
• Update project documents and status reports.
• Create prototypes of reporting needs and support manual report/scorecard creation where automated dashboards are not feasible.
• Work directly with operations team members to understand requirements and do their own development and testing.

What you'll need

• 5 to 8 years of relevant analytics experience.
• 5+ years of relevant analytics experience with a focus on proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL) and Oracle.
• Experience with Business Intelligence software (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.).
• 2+ years of experience with the Python scripting language.
• 2+ years of experience with Databricks and AWS.

Nice to have

• Strong development experience in Databricks, Python, Oracle, Teradata and MS SQL.
• Strong experience writing complex and effective SQL (Teradata SQL, Spark SQL) and stored procedures.
• Databricks experience with Delta Lake, notebooks, pipelines and cluster management; Azure/AWS.
• Strong Tableau dashboard design, visualization and reporting capabilities.
• Experience with Business Intelligence software (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.).
• Strong Python skills for supporting migration, automation and process optimization initiatives.
• Hands-on experience in migration and automation projects to drive process efficiencies and system modernization.
• Experience in Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Problem-solving, consulting, teamwork, leadership and creativity skills.
• Analytical mind with an outstanding ability to collect and analyze data.
• Expertise in contact center or workforce planning operations.
• Proficiency in Agile practices (Jira).
