Overview
Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance C++ software applications for semiconductor CAD workflows.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software for semiconductor CAD applications using modern C++.
- Translate business and system requirements into architecture, detailed designs, and implementation plans.
- Develop and optimize algorithms for layout data processing and geometry operations on large hierarchical design databases.
- Own features across the development lifecycle, including unit/integration testing, deployment, and post-release support.
- Troubleshoot defects using root-cause analysis and resolve performance bottlenecks in data- and compute-intensive workflows.
- Define and execute verification/validation strategies, including test plans and automated regression testing.
- Lead code/design reviews and participate in architectural discussions to ensure quality, reliability, and scalability.
What you'll need
- 8–15 years of software development experience with modern C++ (C++14/17/20 preferred).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
- Knowledge of STL, templates, smart pointers, memory management, and modern C++ design practices.
- Experience with multi-threaded and concurrent applications.
- Solid understanding of software architecture principles and system integration.
- Understanding of Windows/Linux and performance-critical, memory-efficient application development.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git.
