Overview

Chip Power Estimation Engineer working on architectural power estimation for GPUs and SoCs.

What you'll do

• Develop advanced power models to estimate chip and board power for product-driven use cases.
• Architect, develop, and correlate power estimation models/tools for various power domains.
• Correlate and calibrate power models using measured silicon data.
• Analyze chip configuration and process technology options to optimize power/performance.
• Study and contribute to performance-per-watt improvement ideas for upcoming chips.
• Work with architecture, design, synthesis, timing, circuit, and post-silicon teams.

What you'll need

• Have B.Tech./M.Tech education.
• Have 2+ years of experience in power/performance estimation and optimization.
• Have strong VLSI fundamentals in transistor-level leakage and dynamic characteristics.
• Be familiar with low power design techniques including multi VT, clock gating, power gating, and DVFS.
• Have a strong background in power estimation techniques, flows, and algorithms.
• Have good programming skills; Python preferred.
• Have good object-oriented programming and design skills.
