Power Architecture Engineer

Overview

Power Architecture Engineer to support end-to-end power work across ASIC power analysis, power architecture, low power design, verification, and silicon correlation for NVIDIA products.

What you'll do

• Own power aspects including ASIC power analysis, power architecture, low power design, and power-aware verification.
• Architect, develop, verify, and correlate power estimation models/tools for NVIDIA products.
• Design system-level power features to optimize dynamic and leakage power for different use cases.
• Create power verification test plans, write testcases, and build test bench components such as monitors and assertions.
• Validate power feature effectiveness on silicon and contribute to Performance/Watt improvement ideas.
• Help build power management solutions and drive energy-efficiency innovation.

What you'll need

• B.Tech./M.Tech with 1+ years of experience related to power.
• Strong fundamentals in power including transistor-level leakage and dynamic characteristics of VLSI circuits.
• Strong fundamentals in digital design and Verilog.
• Familiarity with low power design techniques like multi-VT, clock gating, power gating, voltage islands, and DVFS.
• Background in power estimation techniques, flows, and algorithms.
• Knowledge of power intent formats such as UPF/CPF or similar.
• Experience with static power check tools (VCLP/CLP or similar) and dynamic power verification tools (VCS-NLP or equivalent).

Nice to have

• Good programming skills in Python and object-oriented programming/design.
• Exposure to power analysis tools (e.g., PTPX, EPS) or lab setups for power measurements like scope/DAQ.
• Good debugging/problem-solving and strong communication as a teammate.
