Civil Engineer Construction Manager - Full Time Travel

Overview

Civil Engineer Construction Manager role providing on-site construction oversight for FAA projects under the NISC IV contract, with 100% travel to support facilities across the eastern U.S. and the Caribbean.

What you'll do

• Provide construction oversight and coordination with project engineers and contracting stakeholders.
• Monitor construction activities and report progress, issues, risks, and deviations.
• Ensure work aligns with project scope, schedule, objectives, and approved plans/specifications.
• Lead construction quality assurance, including resolving technical and construction challenges.
• Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and work plans while supporting engineering coordination.
• Support inspections, commissioning, and project closeout, including punch list tracking.
• Maintain reports/as-built documentation and communicate status, risks, and updates.

What you'll need

• BS in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited) with 4+ years of construction experience for commercial, industrial, or government facilities.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, plans/specifications, materials, and applicable codes/quality standards.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, engineers, and government stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and construction document review tools (e.g., Bluebeam).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Work flexible schedules including nights/weekends and meet travel requirements (valid driver’s license and passport).
