Civil/Structural Forensic Engineer

Overview

Entry to mid-level Civil/Structural Forensic Engineer for forensic investigations, consultation, technical papers, and expert witness work across the US.

What you'll do

• Conduct field observations, testing, and data collection.
• Prepare technical reports with observations, testing results, research, analysis, and recommendations.
• Meet with and present findings to peers and clients.
• Engage in client-relations business development/marketing.
• Travel regularly to local and regional project sites and conduct site inspections.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• PE or SE license.
• 0 to 5 years of experience as a forensic engineer (EI/EITs considered).
• Ability/willingness to climb moderate to steep-pitched roofs using ropes, rope-and-harness, and/or aerial lifts.
• Familiarity with modern building codes and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills.

• Location: Alpharetta, GA, United States.
• Regular local and regional travel is required.
• Work at heights is required, including on steep roof pitches with fall protection when needed.
